This is a show I remember watching a few years back. And today, I caught the rerun of one episode.

It is still so HILARIOUS. I went to google I found out that all the episodes are available online on 8tv's website!!

I have to say, this is one of the best local show that I have watched. In my opinion, it is better than Hong Kong's Beautiful Cooking show. And everyone speaks English so it's a plus. My Cantonese understanding is pretty low...

From wikipedia,
In each episode, two pairs, each consisting of a "cook" and a "cannot cook" (i.e. one possesses the skills while the other does not, at least for the featured meal), competing against each other in a cooking showdown. Only the "cannot cooks" will enter the kitchen and perform the cooking while the "cooks" yell instructions to their partners. To make matters harder, the "cooks" are kept fairly distant from the "cannot cooks" in a booth equipped with monitor to observe the his/her partner's performance – a camera is attached on each "cannot cook's" forehead.

Mmm, recipe for Kan-Cheong-ness.

Hosts are funny and the judges are funny. Contestants are stressed to the point of being funny. Watch the 'cook' YELL REALLY REALLY LOUDLY and the 'cannot cook' attempting to cook while being distracted by the hosts.

Now I'm marathon-ing all the episodes (sadly only 26) here.

You know, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to websites where I have to register to watch their content, but I did it immediately to feed my appetite for Kan Cheong Kitchen.

While the food one the show won't make you hungry, and might make you lose your appetite instead, the hilarious and exciting cooking segment makes it worthwhile!

Feeling down and not hungry (I have to emphasize the word not because sometimes the food comes out really bad...)? Watch it! I laugh a whole lot watching this show.

Best part? No loading time! The videos play immediately for me.

Let the Kan Cheong begin!

For the record, I am a 'cannot cook'.

Just got back from Alice in Wonderland. I am slightly disappointed.

I want MadHatterXAlice now! Haha. I was seriously expecting him to show up after Absolem (Professor Snape!) did towards the end.

=(

On the way back, mum picked me up from the LRT. Then as we were passing by a primary school, the car in front of us swayed abit to the left, we thought he wanted to stop at the primary school.

Mum: Aiyoh, you see this car. Want to stop also didn't signal.

Me: Yalo yalo.

But the the car moved forward. And we saw on the road...

... a very small kitten! Double the size of your fist perhaps.

Don't worry, it was still alive! And being a lost kitten, it was wandering in the middle of the road! So mum stopped the car in the middle of the road in case we ran over it. But the kitten was so tiny we couldn't see it! She seriously didn't know what to do. I bet people behind were thinking something along the lines of:

People in the cars behind: Yor, screw this car wei. Stopping in the middle of the road for nothing. Your greatgreatgreat grandfather's road ar?

I know, Malaysian driver stereotype. But believe me, I've been in situations where I was one of the people-in-the-cars-behind-the-car-that-stopped-in-the-middle-of-the-road-for-nothing.

Then all of a sudden *jengjengjeng* we heard the sound of a horn from behind. A couple on a motorbike stopped and picked up the kitty. They were smiling at us and we were smiling at them.

... it's just like the sun was shining again on our cloudy day.

And we all went back home happily ever after. The end.

Although it seems like there will be thunderstorms later in the evening. Bless the kitty.

YESTERDAY 21/1/10
We planned a birthday surprise for a childhood friend, Tantan. Although her birthday is a week later, all of us were free, so we did it on the yesterday. We bought a cake and went to her house, singing a birthday song at her door. Fun times. Fun times.

Her 21st birthday on the 21st of March. We rock! =P

Can you just say, these are HOLYAMAZING.

These are videos from a group called Ok Go. I don't know anything about them.

...besides the fact that they have very interesting music videos!

I saw this music video of theirs years ago. The epic treadmill video. Can you imagine how hard it is to do that?

And today, while channel surfing, I found this:

Don't let the first image when you play this ^ second video fool you. I thought it was some HORRORGORE music video until I saw the next few seconds. And it gets better and better and better and better and better and better.

Watch and be amazed.

Didn't really liked the song though. Or it was because the awesome video totally grabbed my attention that I did not open my ears because my eyes were doing all the work.

While I'm still jobless and pretty free, I'll present to you the things I did in between job interviews.

1) Make chicken pie using Manda's recipe

... mostly mum did the work. Anyway... although it's a bit lacking in many areas, nothing beats homemade food, and this certainly didn't disappoint. Will definitely improve next time.

2) Multiplayer on Wii

Thanks to Manda, Marcus and Michele. I just realized they all start with the letter 'M'. Nice.

3) Make stupid stuff with leftover bread

Garlic toast! In shapes of cats and bears using cookie cutters.

4) Taking pictures of Lady

I simply cannot resist. I'll do a nice compilation post when I have enough! =D

... I hoped you enjoyed the snippets of my dull and boring life.

After I bought the Glee soundtrack, I've been listening to it in every car ride! Dammit Glee makes such nice covers.

Me and a few of my friends are 90% sure on going for Kelly Clarkson's concert. All that's left is to buy the tickets and that will make it 100% sure!

I have another interview tomorrow, let's hope it is the last one.

You may have been seized, you might have been broken,
what's important is that you are still being yourself.

Convocation in 3 days!

That aside, today I spent some time relaxing.

Wait, I drove to Wangsa Walk today and it WAS NOT relaxing at all. I was making a U-Turn when there is a car coming from my left who did not see me (I was on the straight lane, while she was coming in from a turning) and my dad told me to avoid her by going a little more to the right BUT there was a car there too, so I ended up swaying a bit, but lucky the lady didn't hit me and I didn't hit the car on my right. FUUUUUUH

Hey, I was on the straight lane, it's not my fault if you're coming into my lane without looking. Tsk.

Scratch that. Back home, I managed to catch Marley and Me today on Star Movies at last!

I've been waiting for reruns since it's premier a few weeks back. Finally watched it today. It's nice! It's like watching your life with your pet for more than 10 years in under 2 hours. Marley had to die one day but...

Why must they show it in the movie? T.T
It was so sad and so real.

I feel like getting the autobiography now. Maybe when I get a job?

You see, I already have a check list of what to get myself when I get a job:
1. A new small sling bag
2. A proper watch
3. LG Lollipop <--- Still deciding though...
4. More books!
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

It's like the new IN thing. A disease. Which I am currently suffering from.

... well not suffering really. But I'm getting addicted.

Musicals

I've watched a few when I was young. The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins anyone?

Then came High School Musical. 1, 2 and 3.

Glee? Oh I LOVE Glee. The song covers and the choreographs. I'll Stand by You? True Colours? Sue Sylvester? Kurt? He's my favourite character.
I can't wait for it to continue. Episode 13 was such a tease!

And now... Malaysia's own.

Hotel Mania

To be frank, I can't believe I'm actually watching it. And enjoying it too. Sure, the acting leaves a lot to be desired, but I was hooked the moment Marsha (yes I actually know her name, she stands out for me) sang the first song.

Hotel Mania is very much inspired by the new musical programme, Glee, which has won ‘Best Musical or Comedy Television Series’ in the recent Golden Globe Awards.
And yes it is, but it's more like HSM where people suddenly break into a song instead of on a stage.

And KRU songs. Oh boy. It's like I KNOW these songs back in my head. KRU. Classic.

In Hotel Mania, besides the drama itself, another significant strength that sets this series apart from other musicals in the country is the inclusion of KRU’s songs, to accompany the story.

I'm not really sure about Adi, the main character. I feel like the others have more personality than him. But this is just the first episode. Fingers crossed for character development.

Mar (Marsha) and Ryz are my favourites so far. Mar is Hotel Mania's SHARPAY. She's got the power! The way she talks, the way she walks and the way she stands. I like Sharpay. Therefore Mar is definitely one of my favourites.
Ryz? Well he doesn't talk much. He's the cool and silent type. Mmhmm.

Anyone remembers Adam and Bob from the older Akademi Fantasia? They are there too.

TV3, 9pm on Tuesdays.
I hope Hotel Mania won't let us down. This is one Malaysian production that I will be keeping track of. Malaysia Boleh?
